Last year, HealTerra started a collaboration with Brosi's Sugar Tree Farms in Winston, Oregon, to apply worm castings on several rows of pumpkins for a growth trial. In 2022, we will continue working with Brosi’s on growth trials on different crops as well as a trial on applying worm tea for pest control.

POSITION SUMMARY

This internship is a mutually beneficial, educational opportunity that includes scientific research and development as well as practical, hands-on work in commercial farming, soil health, vermicompost, and compost utilization, and pest management (specifically, controlling spotted wing drosophila through the use of topical applications of worm tea). Required tasks include both field and office/lab work.
